Pink shirt Day

The students participated in a Day of Pink assembly this morning.  Pink Day began in 2007 when two students wore pink shirt in support of a student who was bullied. Alexander School purchased and distributed pink shirts to all students, they will receive a pink snack and they enjoyed working cooperatively in multi-age groups this morning to recognize this important day.  Special thank you to Mrs. Clayton's choir and Kindergarten/Grade 1 class for singing two beautiful songs about kindness!  Today, students were reminded to be kind to one another, stop and think before acting, and have courage to step in for someone in need.
