School Zone Safety Reminders
Student safety is always our top priority at Brandon School Division, and we appreciate the role our families and community play in helping keep our school zones safe.
Arrival and dismissal times are especially busy, with many students walking, biking, or being driven to school. In recent years, we’ve seen an increase in traffic around our schools, which can sometimes lead to congestion and parking challenges.
We understand that this can be frustrating at times, but your patience, caution, and respect for traffic rules make a big difference. Slowing down, following posted signage, and staying alert—especially around school buses—helps keep everyone safe.
Each year, the Brandon Police Service receives a number of concerns related to traffic safety in school zones, including illegal parking and unsafe driving. We encourage you to review the School Zone Safety information linked below for helpful information and reminders.
