Festival Du Green Acres

various animal furs on a table

Despite cold windy winter weather, the students and staff at Green Acres celebrated Metis culture with their own Festival du Green Acres on Friday, February 27.

The afternoon was filled with fiddle music, storytelling, fur trading and landbased learning. All topped off with fresh bannock and hot chocolate for all.

A huge thank you to Elders and Knowledge Keepers Chris Leforte and Steven DeMontigny for sharing their teachings with us. We can’t wait for them to visit again soon.
