Remembrance Day (November 11, 2025)

A hand holding three red poppies against a chalkboard background with text that reads “Lest We Forget – Remembrance Day – November 11”

Remembrance Day, observed every year on November 11th, serves as a day to commemorate the sacrifices made by Canadian soldiers in various wars. It is a day to honour the brave men and women who fought for their country and laid down their lives for the sake of freedom and democracy. On this day, Canadians wear poppies as a symbol of remembrance and respect for those who have served in the military.

The day is not only an opportunity to remember the sacrifices of the past but also to reflect on the present and the future. It is a reminder to all Canadians to strive for peace and to work towards a better world where conflicts can be resolved without violence.

The Act of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
 Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
 At the going down of the sun and in the morning
 We will remember them.
We will remember them.
