CBC Music Class Challenge 2025!

CBC Music Class Challenge 2025!

Two of our classes are proudly participating in the CBC Music Class Challenge 2025!

Students began learning their pieces in September and completed their recordings in October. We are thrilled to see how much they have grown as musicians—their hard work and progress truly stand out.

Our Grade 3 class performed “Paper Heart.” Students composed their own drum patterns and added the chant, “Love is the language we speak every day.” The drums featured in this performance were recently purchased through the MusiCounts grant, and this project helped students explore the idea of harmony within our school community.

Our Grade 4 students performed “Au Clair de la Lune” using Orff instruments. Through this experience, they learned about ensemble playing and experimented with creating layered harmonies. Their arrangement was inspired by the Rondo form, a musical structure we have been studying in class.

We invite our school community to watch the videos and give them a “like” to support our young musicians. We are excited to share their performances and hope you enjoy their music as much as they enjoyed creating it!
