I Love to Read Month (February 2025)

February 2025 has been proclaimed "I Love to Read Month" by the Honourable Tracy Schmidt, Acting Minister of Education and Early Childhood Learning, and the Honourable Nellie Kennedy, Minister of Sport, Culture, Heritage and Tourism. 

Through reading, individuals cultivate deeper understanding, empathy and respect for others by expanding their horizons and connecting to diverse cultures, experiences and perspectives. 

Literacy achievements and the growth of knowledge and critical thought, as supported by educators, parents, public library staff and other community champions are worthy of notice and celebration.
