May 7, 2024, is recognized as National Child and Youth Mental Health Day – an opportunity to raise awareness about youth mental health and discuss how we can work together to end stigma.
This day serves as a reminder of the importance of recognizing mental health issues early on in children and adolescents, paving the way for conversations that can lead to significant positive changes in their lives. It's an opportunity for parents, educators, healthcare professionals, and community members to unite in their efforts to destigmatize mental health challenges and to ensure that young people have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
Through awareness, education, and compassion, we can create a more inclusive and supportive environment for every child and teenager facing mental health challenges.
