UPCOMING EVENTS & DATES
If you’d like to make a change to your timetable, please contact the Massey main office to make an appointment with a counsellor. The last day to add a class to your timetable for semester 1 is Friday, September 18.
The Viking Vault is open until September 20th! Make sure you grab your Massey merch before the vault closes on September 20th. We will have multiple launch dates through-out the year but don’t wait! Check out the Vault, find your favourites, and get your order in before the deadline. You don’t want to be the one wishing you had ordered that new Viking hoodie! 😉 Let’s see those purple and white colours around the school this year, especially on Fridays!! Go Vikings! 💜🤍

Student Recognition lists are posted on the bulletin board outside the Career Centre. You can review the list by Friday, September 25th and see Ms. Smith in the career centre if you have any questions or concerns.
Those students who have signed up for the Ride Ready Bus pass can stop by the main office during a class break, lunch or after school.
EXTRA CURRICULARS
GSA will have their first kickoff meeting Tuesday, September 29th during lunch in the home ec room.
Grade 9s interested in joining Student Council, applications can be found by scanning the QR code on the TVs or see Ms. Lambert in room 4. Applications are due Friday, September 18th at 4pm.
Join the Viking Chess Club! Sign up outside Room 23 from now until the end of the day on Friday, September 18th. All experience levels are welcome!
Looking for a fun way to spend your “spare” time meeting friends and getting some physical activity? Join the Vincent Massey Bowling Club! Come to a quick meeting at the start of lunch on Tuesday, September 22nd in Ms. Cullen’s room (Room 47) for info about signing up. More information can also be found on posters around the school.
Do you have a way with words? Are you passionate for poetry, prose, or storytelling? Join Vincent Massey’s Creative Writing Community and grow your craft with other Massey writers. Contact Mr. Letkeman over Teams or in room 49 to sign up!
Join Astronomy Club to explore the mysteries of the universe, share your curiosity, and take your stargazing to the next level. Contact Mr. Letkeman or Mr. Smithson to sign up or ask any questions.
Vincent Massey’s D&D club is starting up again. If crafting characters, exploring the unknown and trying to outwit and out-manoeuvre chance itself appeal to you, come to room 49 at lunch on Friday, September 18th and roll with us into adventure!
Are you interested in getting involved in your community, meeting new people and gaining volunteer experience? Join the Youth in Philanthropy Club! The first meeting will be on Tuesday, September 22nd in Room 17.
The Viking Hike Club will meet in Mr. Grindey’s room at lunch on Monday, September 21st to briefly discuss their first hike of the year. Hikers, don’t forget to bring your signed waivers and pledges!
