Cold Weather Reminders

Cold Weather Reminders:

• Please ensure that your child(ren) are dressed appropriately for the weather. We ask that students come to school with a winter coat, ski-pants, toque, mitts, scarf/neck warmer, and winter boots. Please make sure your child(ren)'s items are labelled clearly and in a location that will not rub off. 
• If the temperature is -27 or colder (with or without the wind) the students will be kept inside for recesses. At this temperature, our School Safety Patrols will not be on duty so if your child(ren) need to cross the road, remind them to cross with care.
• If your child(ren) are not bus students, please make sure your child(ren) do not arrive at school too early in the morning and at lunch. Child(ren) should not be arriving at the school any earlier than 8:40 am and 12:35 pm. 
• When arriving at the school, whether in the morning or after lunch, students are to use their normal door for entry and wait in that area until the bell rings. They should not be going to put their belongings away or going to their classroom prior to the bell.
