First Place in Canada-wide Poetry Contest

Congratulations to grade 11 student, Darci Drozda, who recently won 1st place in a Canada-wide student poetry contest! 

Several Vincent Massey students entered the 2024/2025 National contest put on by Polar Expressions Publishing. Not only did Darci win a cash prize but she will also have her poetry published in their annual anthology. This is the 19th annual student contest, available for Canadian students in kindergarten through grade 12. Many other Vincent Massey students over the years have made it to the second round of the contest but Darci is the first to win first place.
