 EXTRA CURRICULAR CLUBS

Chess Club -What’s more satisfying than checking someone in hockey? Checking them in chess. And the best way to do that is to join the Viking Chess Club. Sign up outside Room 23 before Friday, September 19th! All ability and experience levels are welcome! 

Do you have a way with words? Are you passionate for poetry, prose, or storytelling? Join Vincent Massey’s Creative Writing Community and grow your craft with other Massey writers. Contact Mr. Letkeman or Mr. Kehler to sign up!

 Vincent Massey’s Dungeons & Dragons club is starting up again. If crafting characters, exploring the unknown and trying to outwit and out-manoeuvre chance itself appeal to you, come to room 49 at lunch on Friday, September 19^th and roll with us into adventure!

Vincent Massey Book Club - Are you a reader looking for a place to talk about books and share your passion for reading?  If you have questions or want to sign up, see Ms. Bradley in the library.  First meeting will be Wed. Sept. 24^th at lunch in the library conference room.

 “Are you interested in helping out with major production this year but you aren’t part of the cast?  Maybe the “front of house and sponsorship” crew is the right fit for you!  This crew is vital for advertising and securing sponsors for the this year’s show of “Once Upon a One More Time” and we are getting the ball rolling next week.  All students interested in joining this crew should come to an informational meeting at the start of lunch on Friday Sept 19 in room 48.  Please see Mrs. Roque, Ms. Scrini, or Mrs. Metruk if you have questions.”

Volleyball Tryouts 
Grade 9 Girls Volleyball Tryouts are Friday, Sept 12^th, Tuesday Sept. 16^th and Thurs. Sept. 18^th from 4:00-5:30pm
Grade 9 Boys Volleyball Tryouts are Monday, Sept 15^th and Wed. Sept. 17^th from 4:00-5:30pm

All dates are also posted outside the gym! 

Prior to tryouts next week, the Varsity Hockey team is hosting pre-skates this week. Check the posters around the school for locations and times. No matter where you plan on playing this season, you are welcome to come and skate, knock the rust off, and get ready for your season. See Mr. Sitko or Mr. Stephens if you have any questions.
