EXTRA CURRICULAR CLUBS

Are you interested in the outdoors and nature? Do you like exploring and hiking? If you do then the Viking Hike Club might be for you, if you are interested please come to a meeting this Thursday at 1:05 in room 15. 

SPORTS

Any students wanting to tryout for the Viking Hockey team will need to complete the online registration form, which can be found on the Massey website. 

There will be a Cross-Country running team meeting today after school by the score board out at the football field. 

The Varsity Girls 7’s Rugby team opened their season is Souris this weekend. Their first game had them up against our cross-town rivals, Crocus Plains, where the girls played a tight game and came out victorious with a 5-0 win! Their next game had them play the hometown Souris Sabers, where they played hard to win 19-12. Their final game against Rivers saw another close game, ultimately being defeated by the rams by 2 points, losing 34-36. Tries were scored by Kateri with 7, and London with 1. 

The Junior Varsity Rugby 7s girls also opened their season this weekend, playing the toughest two teams in the league right off the hop as they played Rivers, then Dauphin. The girls finally got some points on the board in their match against the Crocus JV team. Although the scores did not reflect the playing, the girls developed mad skills and came together as a team. The lone try scorer was Lyla.
