International Stress Awareness Week (November 5-9, 2024)
International Stress Awareness Week, observed from November 5-9, 2024, provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the impact of stress on individuals and communities worldwide. As life becomes increasingly fast-paced and demanding, stress has emerged as a significant issue affecting mental and physical health. This dedicated week aims to highlight the importance of understanding stress, its causes, and effective management strategies. By bringing stress to the forefront of public discourse, the week fosters an environment where people feel empowered to share their experiences and seek support without stigma.
The week also emphasizes the importance of fostering supportive environments, whether in workplaces, schools, or at home, where open conversations about mental health are encouraged.
Supporting the positive well-being, mental health and safety of students, staff, and families is a key priority for Brandon School Division.
