I Love to Read Month (February 2024)

February 2024 has been proclaimed "I Love to Read Month" by the Honourable Nello Altomare, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Learning and the Honourable Glen Simard, Minister of Sport, Culture, Heritage and Tourism. 

Through reading, individuals cultivate deeper understanding, empathy and respect for others by expanding their horizons and connecting to diverse cultures, experiences and perspectives. 

Literacy achievements and the growth of knowledge and critical thought, as supported by educators, parents, public library staff and other community champions are worthy of notice and celebration.
