National Speech Language Pathologist Day (May 18, 2024)

The month of May is known as Speech & Hearing Month in Canada, dedicated to raising public awareness about communication health.  Specifically, May 18^th is recognized as National Speech Language Pathologist Day, an important observance dedicated to recognizing the invaluable contributions of speech-language pathologists (SLPs) to healthcare and education systems worldwide. 

These professionals specialize in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating various communication disorders in individuals of all ages.  SLPs play a pivotal role in enhancing quality of life and fostering effective communication skills for those they support.
